We are experiencing the dog days of summer; I'm not a fan. I hate humidity. That said, I am a knitter and most of us knit year round. While there are fabulous summer yarns, I am not a fan of cotton or linen; I just don't like the way it feels in my hands when I'm knitting. There are a select few yarns that are cotton blends that I will knit with, but I LOVE my protein fibers.
I snagged a brand new pattern from Sweet Georgia when I attended the National Needle Arts Association in DC - Anuanu. It's knit in Sweet Georgia's superwash worsted in Salt Air. I'm working on a matching hat and fingerless gloves set...can't wait to see how they turn out...not sure if they'll be for me, a gift, or a new item in the shop.
